About me
Mic Bowman is currently retired and enjoying many opportunities to contribute to fun and interesting research projects. Previously, he was senior principal engineer in Intel Labs where he led the decentralized computing research group (and dabbled in other areas like Internet architecture, scalable multi-player virtual worlds, and personalized search). Mic spent over 20 years working on large-scale databases and distributed systems. Among other roles he served as a member of the Hyperledger Technical Steering Committee for several years contributing to various aspects of architecture definition and evaluation of technologies for privacy and confidentiality. He is currently working with several teams on methods for improving the security, scalability, and privacy of agentic AI. Long, long ago he received his PhD in Computer Science from the University of Arizona.
